The AeroDrone MR4 is a rigid, light weight and aerodynamically efficient quadrotor design that not only looks great, but has the performance to match. This platform is the evolutionary result of rigorous engineering design, development, and testing. The MR4 frame has been extensively field tested in order to attain optimum performance figures, when used in any desired flight mode. The core of the MR4 platform is covered by the hard ABS Case, which has been designed not only to protect the on-board electronics but to make the MR4 look great as well. The MR4 platform comprises of strategically placed inbuilt sensor bays, and has been designed with high ground clearance, to accommodate a payload of up to 500 grams. From an operational perspective, the APM Mission Planner enables Point-and-click waypoint entry, Heads-up display and telemetry data-link, raising the possibility for autonomous flight in applications where manned flight is too dangerous, expensive or monotonous. The MR4 frame is built entirely out of recyclable materials (like polycarbonate and aluminium), ensuring that the environmental impact of the MR4 is kept to a minimum over the lifetime of the product.

Strong and Efficient

The MR4 frame has been designed to ensure high rigidity and durability under extreme loading conditions and harsh environments. It also features narrow cylindrical booms made out of high strength Aluminium alloy, for more efficient aerodynamic flow behaviour in the slipstream (propwash).
Integrated Sensor Mounts
Everything has its place.
The design of the MR4 incorporates strategically placed sensor mounts for easy attachment of sensors such as a Sonar.
The sensor bays are designed so that the sensor units can be shielded by the ABS Case, helping to protect them from impacts and adverse weather conditions.
Amazing Payload Capabilities
Payload is more than just weight. It needs room too.
The MR4 has been designed to carry a payload of up to 500 grams, which can be placed underneath the
platform, without compromising the amazing stability and performance.
However, sometimes its
not just about weight. The MR4 undercarriage provides 14.5cm of ground clearance, allowing many different size payloads to be used.

The MR4 possesses outstanding endurance, making it capable of flight for over 15 minutes in real-world operating conditions (not unrealistic windless laboratory tests). The MR4's operation is also exceptional in windy conditions, where gusts of up to 20 knots are present.

The
APM Mission Planner
(created by Michael Oborne) enables point-and-click waypoint entry using Google Maps. The Mission Planner
can be used to configure APM settings, and allows mission commands to be selected from drop-down menus;
the planner also provides downloadable mission log files for analysis, while outputting a live feed
from the APM's serial terminal.
The Mission Planner can be used to implement an interface with a PC flight simulator (such as
FlightGear), to create a full HIL (Hardware In the Loop) UAV simulator.

minimizing the carbon footprint of the product.
